Facial PRP: Use and Limits for Skin Quality, Under-Eyes and Acne Scars
What facial PRP is and how it's used for tone and texture, under-eyes, fine lines and acne scars, combined with microneedling, with session plans and expectations.
PRP is also used to support facial skin quality, injected or combined with microneedling to support skin renewal.

PRP is not a filler; it doesn't restore volume or remove deep wrinkles.
Methods
- Micro-injection into superficial layers.
- Microneedling + PRP, common for acne scars.
- Under-eye application, very careful and superficial.

Afterwards: redness for hours to 1–2 days (more with microneedling); mild under-eye swelling for 1–3 days; small bruises; no makeup on day one; sun protection is especially important.
Not suitable with: active acne, cold sores or infection; pregnancy and breastfeeding; bleeding or platelet disorders; recent isotretinoin (important for microneedling); keloid tendency (careful assessment).
PRP can be part of a plan with Botox, fillers or skincare, but whether to combine procedures on the same day and area is the doctor's decision.
Expectations: effects are gradual, noticed after several sessions, and vary; sun protection, skincare and not smoking support results.
